Our goal is to surface the most compelling small business and community-focused news items for our amazing local subscribers. Rather than trying to be comprehensive, we try to keep it pretty tight!

Things we don’t (typically) include…

• Hiring or help wanted notices

• Winemaker dinners or takeovers

• AVA, library or special tastings at wineries

• Special promotions or sales at wineries

• High-profile auctions that we can’t afford to participate it

• Extremely expensive events

• More than 3 events from a single outlet in one newsletter

• Invite or members-only events

Things we rarely include…

• Winery events with a music, arts, community/charitable, or interesting food angle

• Special guest chef dinners at restaurants

• New products or food dishes (unless it’s something we are particularly jazzed about, or the addition of alcohol/wine/beer)

• Operational changes - e.g. changes to days or hours of operation: seasonal, one-off or otherwise; patio opens/closures

• Special sales at retail stores

• Distributor/importer portfolio tastings at restaurants or wine shops

• Opening or closings of tasting rooms or wineries

• Gossip or speculation… unless it’s really juicy
